Elegant Logo Reveal

When searching for logo animations for business, you will find many polished After Effects templates. However, doing an elegant logo reveal in Fusion’s 3D space is not too difficult either.

In this intermediate tutorial I discuss the animation in three parts:

1. Setup of the 3D geometry with a background plane (shape3d) and two Text3D nodes. Add multiple cameras and renderers and set up the animation in the timeline view. (Starting at 0:48)
2. Add materials, lights, and shadows. Different parts of the scene are lit with different lights for artistic effect. Optimize rendering as much as possible to avoid antialiasing. Use super-sampling and a high shadow map resolution. (Starting at 8:10)
3. Split the 3d scene into two, render each separately and use 2d effects to polish the result for smooth shadows and interesting highlights. (Starting at 16:05)
