Get up to speed quickly by editing a 1 minute video from scratch in the Edit page. Assemble your rough cut, refine the edit, add a title and deliver. Get started in Resolve with this overview in one lesson.
Cut Page
Use the Cut page to efficiently review large amounts of footage, for a quick assembly of a larger project, or to complete a whole job in a quick turnaround szenario.
Optionally, you can watch all lessons about the Cut page with separate recordings that demonstrate the DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor.
Edit Page
Get a thorough introduction to the DaVinci Resolve Edit page. Manage your media, set up bins and smart bins, and Perform a detailed edit with all main editing features of DaVinci Resolve. Also, get started with audio editing right from the Edit page. Use clip colors, flags, and markers to stay organized and prepare for grading sessions or detailed audio work in Fairlight.
Color
Get a good grasp of the world-class color grading features in DaVinci Resolve. Start with a primary grade to normalize/balance your shot and do the first overall adjustments and overall matching between shots. Learn about secondary grades for very detailed and selective color manipulations. Finally, you learn how to create creative looks and how to reuse and share them correctly through stills and LUTs.
Sound
Many audio tasks and effects can be applied directly from the edit page. However, the Fairlight page offers some excellent dedicated features that make working on audio more productive. Learn to use the interface effectively with many tracks, use spot lists, record voice over and more.
VFX
Get an Introduction to Fusion by working on a head-up display for a retro sci-fi shot. Learn how Fusion’s node-based interface works and how it differs from the color page. Create a convincing composite with some added effects and an animated text graphic.
Delivery and Project Management
Learn about the different delivery options in DaVinci Resolve and get to know DaVinci Resolve’s Database concept. This helps you to correctly share project assets, create back-ups and archives or migrate your installation to a different system.

The first course from VFX study I did was the in depth compositing which is really good, when this course came up, it seemed less advanced and in depth, but I went for it because I like the way Bernd explains things and I realised that my knowledge of cut and edit pages is limited, and my knowledge of the colour grading and sound editing pages almost nil.
I’m amazed, pretty much every button is explained using real world scenarios, with relevant examples to follow along with, I’m still on the edit page and have already easily had good value from it.
I know I will be able to use this amazing software now to edit faster and more efficiently and am looking forward to learning the colour and fairlight pages and how they work.

It’s the same precision as with the others, very good explained and with a lot of examples.
I like his exact style to explain also very complicated tasks, I think, it is the best course I found for DaVinci and Fusion.
I didn’t end all the courses, I’m learning on and I run through the lessons, and I find, that one can master the program
after doing this. I’m very happy with his courses, especially this latest course with all basics of Davinci, but also the

I have been using Resolve for a while with OK results, I think. Now this course came up, and my thougts were, do I need it. Well I bought it, and I am very satisfired with it. It shows, that there are a lot of finesses, I can learn from Bernd, in all aspects. Finesses you can probably read some of in Resolves manuals. But let Bernd do the job. Things are very good explained, and there are a lot of practical advices, that I find very usefull.
Conclusion: It is announced as a beginners course. I wil also call it a refresment course for those, who has been using Resolve for a while, and maybe forgotten all the fancy ways of doing things. So I recommend it very much.

I am a very experienced DR User. I had watched a couple of videos, from Bernd’s YouTube channel related to performance, proxies & optimized media. I was impressed by not only how well he knew the concepts but how simply he explained them.
I have completed numerous paid/curated courses on DaVinci Resolve in the last 2 years.
This is a must-watch course, even if do not plan to get the certification. You will pick numerous tips & tricks which will improve your overall productivity, even if you are an advanced user.
Note: the course does not cover Fusion, in-depth. I plan on picking up his Fusion Courses, including the compositing course.

I must be crazy to buy this course!
I just passed the online exam 2 weeks ago and scored 90%.
I have been using Resolve for color correction since version 12.5.
With the release of Fusion in Resolve, I became fascinated with the software.
Since version 16 I edit my videos only in DaVinci Resolve.
For a German it is not necessarily pleasant to work through the manual with more than 3500 pages.
Therefore, I prefer to watch training videos to learn more. And maybe this course closes the remaining gap of 10%.
Now I finished this course and found it very descriptive and helpful.

I am an amateur drone videographer and sometime blogger and have been using Davinci Resolve for about a year to help make my videos higher quality and more interesting. I am particularly interested in adding some visual effects and creative colourising.
After many hours of trial and error editing and learning from numerous YouTube tutorials I have gained a reasonable understanding of the DR software. I have to say that I gained more practical knowledge from Bernd’s courses than the others. He is not trying to be a showman, just a good teacher, and obviously has a lot of in-depth knowledge to share. His are the only courses that I have actually paid for and i feel are amazing value for money.
This particular course offers a good grounding for newbies to DR and reveals a lot of tips and tricks for an experienced editer across all pages of the DR software.

I am using Davinci Resolve for years and took some paid courses as well. Also, I took some courses with Bernd, basic and advanced, plus many free videos. When I received the mail for this new one, I was skeptical that it is for me. However, I said “Why Not!”. As usual, there is something to be gained from Bernd’s courses. Up to my expectations, there is many useful information in this course even for experienced users. What is special about this course compared to others that it is like telling a story. It is a simple film post production course but going deep in many details on how to do it and why we do that. It is rare to find this combination.
This one is special for me! Since Black Magic Design introduced the Cut page I was not able to switch from the Edit page. This time, after finishing the Cut page chapter in this course, I succeeded to train my mind and muscles to edit a complete project in Cut page. Good achievement, indeed 😊
