Creating a 3D Scene from Scratch

Create and manipulate simple 3D geometry in Fusion using Shape 3d, Image Planes, Displace 3D, Bender, Duplicate, Replicate and more.

3D Set Extension with Camera Tracking

Create a 3D set extension with camera tracking and card projection in DaVinci Resolve Studio & Fusion Studio. 2D post-processing with light wrap and color correction.

Extend Archive Footage

Polish archive footage and extend the frame for full HD. Inspired by the VFX from “First Man”, we enhance footage from the Apollo 11 launch. Artifact removal and set-extension with paint and clone techniques help build the shot.

Set Extension

Create a 2D Set Extension with Fusion in DaVinci Resolve or Fusion Studio. Integrate photos and videos with color corrections and atmospheric effects into your shot.

Add 3D Depth to 2D Logos and Images

Use stacked image layers to create a 3D effect from a 2D logo or image in DaVinci Resolve / Fusion. Polish the scene with 2D post-processing effects like ambient occlusion and depth blur.

VFX Connect

Use DPX, EXR or MXF file formats to render from DaVinci Resolve 16 and work in Fusion Studio. I cover the full functionality of VFX connect, recommended file formats and version management.

World Map Animation

In this step by step tutorial, I am creating a 3d map animation in Fusion with textures, lighting and animated flight paths. It is a beginner to intermediate tutorial. Rather than focusing on one aspect of fusion, this is more like a case study for motion graphics and 3d in Fusion and you will find different tricks along the way to the final result.
