DaVinci Resolve 18 offers an easy way for remote collaboration thanks to Blackmagic Cloud and a new Proxy File generator.
In this tutorial, I meet Johannes “Yo” Füssel from Mein Video Studio to explore a detailed workflow for collaborating across countries. We are exchanging both proxy files and selected original media, we transfer an existing project into Blackmagic Cloud and start a multiuser collaboration within the project.
Using DaVinci Resolve Collaboration, we discuss locking and unlocking of Editing timelines, parallel work in Fusion and Color, chat features and more.
Finally, I am using the Resolve Media Manager to extract and share selected camera original files, that Yo can relink into the working project.

This was excellent, Bernd. The idea of bringing in Jo from another part of the world to practically demonstrate this functionality, was superb…. It made understanding the working of Cloud Collaboration, so much easier. Thanks so much…
Bernd
Yes, and I enjoyed working with Yo as well, hopefully more in the future 🙂
